DOONAGORE CASTLE, COUNTY CLARE, IRELAND

Here was a pretty view which will appear in conjunction with promotion for my forthcoming release, The Comet.

  1. Wouldn't it be lovely to wake up to that view every day? Gorgeous!

  2. I know, I would love it. Did you see many of these ruins on your recent trip? I loved riding along seeing the remnants of some Norman tower sticking up out of the middle of a sheep pasture.

  3. It looks surreal, Miriam. More like an artist's rendition of something in his/her imagination than an actual place. But I've found that true of a lot of Irish scenery and of photos I've seen of other Celtic countries.

  4. Yes, I thought that, too, and I'm not sure of the medium. I put it up as my desktop background, which gave it a really interesting appearance and focus, though I don't know exactly what to call it. I sure haven't gotten tired of it, anyway.
